The sexual activity in the human beings is a natural form of physical intimacy. It can be exercised by the intention of the biological reproduction, spiritual transcendency, to express affection or for pleasure and entertainment (acquaintance in this context as "sexual gratification"). The desire for the sex is one of the basic motivations of the human behavior. All the animal species that have sexual reproduction, and all the human cultures, have a series of conducts that split in: courtship, intimacy and sexual activity.

The human sexual behavior is therefore the behavior that the human beings develop to look sexual partners, to obtain the approval of possible couples, to form relations, to show sexual desire, and the coitus.

This behavior is studied in two big areas: the anthropology (the practices of diverse cultures), and the informative one (knowledge that can be useful to the individuals who can interfere in this type of behaviors, or that consider to be the possibility of carrying out a sexual activity).

The human sexual behavior is a very wide expression. It refers both to usual behaviors and to the least frequent, and includes the whole series of sexual behaviors from the matrimonial relations up to the sexual abuse. Although in many cases the sexual behavior goes or is carried out inside a relation, it is not an essential element, and there are many sexual behaviors out of an interpersonal relation.
